World War II Memorial Bas Relief: Atlantic Panel 1: Lend Lease. Full scale. Depicts "Lend Lease crates and a military vehicle being prepared to be shipped to Great Britain alodng with a boy delivering news of Germany declaring war. President Frankling Roosevelt instituted the "Lend Lease" policy which had the United States providing many of its future allies (Great Britain, Russia, and China) with assistance in the form of ships, tanks, jeeps, as well as food, with promise of payment after the war. |
