Description |
Tetrascroll book by R. Buckminster Fuller |
Context |
Designer and futurist Buckminster Fuller believed that children are naturals at the big-picture style of thinking he specialized in and dubbed "Synergetics." Begun as a bedtime story for his young daughter, Tetrascroll is a wide-ranging riff on Fuller's vision of a change-driven universe where human design functions best when kept to a minimum, and where-as Goldilocks learns in the traditional tale-one size never fits all. It first appeared as a forty-plus-foot-long scroll composed of equilateral triangles - the geometric form Fuller believed was nature's universal building block. |
